Torxup — Built for People Who Build Things

Torxup is a UK supplier of reusable half-face respirators and fast Makita-compatible battery chargers, trading as Torxup LTD from Halton in Lancashire. The CoreMask respirator range is sold direct from this site from £4.95 for replacement filters to £34.95 for the full bundle; the VoltGuard 6500 6.5A charger is £29.95, also sold direct here. UK delivery is free and orders placed on a working day are dispatched the same day.

  • The Torxup CoreMask is a reusable half-face respirator that costs £24.95 and ships with a pair of ProDefend carbon cartridges and a pair of FlowCore cotton filter pads included.
  • The VoltGuard 6500 delivers a 6.5A multi-stage charge and restores a 5.0Ah Makita LXT battery in 50 to 55 minutes, against 100 to 110 minutes on a standard 3A charger.
  • FlowCore cotton filter pads last 20 to 40 working hours of active dust exposure per pair, and a replacement pack of 2 pads and 2 covers costs £4.95.
  • Anyone sanding hardwood, MDF or plaster indoors needs P3 or FFP3-grade respiratory protection — the HSE sets a Workplace Exposure Limit of 5 mg/m³ for inhalable dust over 8 hours.
  • Without a filtered mask, a single disposable at £3 to £8 covers one shift, so a £24.95 CoreMask pays for itself inside 4 to 8 masks.
  • UK delivery is free with no minimum spend, dispatch is same working day from Halton in Lancashire, and returns are accepted for 14 days.

Torxup exists for two reasons: to stop lost time and protect the people doing the work. Every trade or workshop job breaks for one of two things — a dead battery or a cloud of dust. Our products remove both. Whether you’re fitting kitchens, sanding floors or running tools on-site, Torxup delivers performance gear that keeps projects moving and breathing spaces clean.

This really is a fast charger which is much better than the standard charger which came with my Makita drills, there is a built in fan which helps with cooling when charging, it was nice to see the percentage charge increasing rapidly, if you have larger capacity batteries then I would say that one if these fast chargers is a must. Well made with a nice clear display, I think that this is a little expensive but when time is money this is well worth it, I only want for DIY use but I like the faster charging.

Not much to see here apart from that this is the best charger I've ever owned. A charger that caters for all of my batteries and has a digital display that shows the charge level.

I'm using my power tools nonstop and waiting for the batteries to charge is the worst. Bought this quick charger and it's been wonderful. Charged my 5.0ah battery in what seemed like a blink of an eye, certainly in under an hour. LCD display is easy to read, lets you know exactly what's happening. Charges my other LXT Li-ion batteries as well. Fan is loud but I'll put up with that for the charging speed. Good addition to my workshop.

Great charger for my Makita batteries - it's definitely faster than the OEM model, I'd say 33-50% faster.

Really impressed with this charger — it’s far better than my original Makita one. The build quality feels solid and well-made, with no cheap parts or flimsy bits. It’s got a large, clear LCD screen that shows the charging status properly, which is a nice touch. Charging speed is excellent — noticeably faster than what I was used to. It doesn’t get hot while running, which gives a bit more peace of mind when leaving batteries on charge. Compatibility has been spot on too — works well with both my Makita LXT 14.4V–18V batteries and the Torxup packs I’ve got, including BL1830 and BL1850 types. All in all, it exceeded what I was expecting. Does the job better than I thought, and I’d definitely recommend it if you want something that’s quick, reliable, and built to last.

I got this respirator for use when 3D printing with resin, which can release harmful chemicals (VOCs) that should never be inhaled. I equipped the respirator before even opening the resin bottle so I had no idea what it smelled like, but having now smelled the fumes with the respirator off, it completely eliminates the smell. That doesn't guarantee it gets rid of all particulate matter, however I also haven't had any side effects commonly caused by 3D printing resin.

I’m glad you get back up filters, the whole thing was easy to assemble and it seems sturdy for now. You can adjust this to your face for quite a tight fit, I think it’s a good mask. It looks good too!
