How long do CoreMask filters last?

How do I know when a FlowCore pad needs changing?

Three signals: breathing resistance climbs noticeably, the pad carries a visible dust load, or the mask has been through a contamination event. In normal use that lands between 20 and 40 working hours of active dust exposure per pair.

Can FlowCore cotton pads be washed?

No. Washing collapses the cotton fibre structure and destroys the filtration efficiency the pad was made for. Wash the CoreMask body and silicone seal, and replace the pads.

What are the two covers in the FlowCore pack for?

The covers retain each cotton pad against the cartridge housing so the pad cannot lift or shift while you work. One cover fits each side; they are reusable and only need replacing if damaged.

Will FlowCore pads stop resin or paint fumes?

No. FlowCore pads are a particulate filter for dust. Vapours and odours from paint, resin and solvents need the ProDefend activated-carbon cartridges at £9.95 fitted behind the pads.
