How long do CoreMask filters last?

CoreMask FlowCore pads typically last 20 to 40 working hours of active dust exposure before replacement; dustier work (MDF, plaster, silica) saturates them faster. Replace when breathing resistance increases noticeably, on visible dust load, or after any contamination event.

Which CoreMask does it fit?

Fits every Torxup CoreMask. Both filter types ship with the mask — the standard kit (£24.95) includes a pair of each, and the bundle (£34.95) adds a spare pair of each.

How often should ProDefend carbon cartridges be replaced?

Replace the pair as soon as you can smell solvent, paint or resin through the mask, or immediately after any contamination event. Activated carbon saturates invisibly, so odour breakthrough is the only reliable end-of-life signal — there is no colour change to watch for.

Can ProDefend carbon cartridges be washed and reused?

No. The CoreMask body and silicone seal are washable in warm soapy water, but carbon cartridges must be replaced, not cleaned. Washing floods the carbon bed and destroys its adsorption capacity.

Do I need the carbon cartridges as well as the cotton pads?

For dust-only work such as sanding or plaster you can run FlowCore pads alone. For paint, resin, solvent or fume work you need both: the FlowCore pad catches particulates and the ProDefend cartridge behind it adsorbs the vapour.

Are ProDefend cartridges sold singly or as a pair?

As a matched pair for £9.95. The CoreMask is a twin-cartridge respirator, so both sides are replaced together to keep breathing resistance even across the face seal.
